Galvanized steel pipe vs Mild steel pipe

Galvanized steel pipe(GI) is molten matrix metal and iron alloy layer produced by the reaction, so that the substrate and coating combination of both. Mild steel pipe(MS) carbon content less than 0.25% of carbon steel, because of its low intensity, low and soft hardness, so called soft steel. It includes most of the part of ordinary carbon steel and high-quality carbon structural steel, mostly without heat treatment used in engineering structures, and some other mechanical parts by carburizing and heat treatment requirements for wear. Mild steel annealing organization ferrite and pearlite, lower its strength and hardness, ductility and toughness. Therefore, its good cold formability, can curling, bending, stamping and other cold forming methods. This steel also has good weldability. Carbon content from 0.10 to 0.30% of low-carbon steel is easy to accept all kinds of processing, such as forging, welding and cutting, commonly used in the manufacture of chains, rivets, bolts, shafts, etc.
